The St. John Vianney Priest Residence is a retirement facility for aging priests in the Catholic Diocese of Birmingham. The project included the complete renovation of an existing two-story 1960’s building and a new one-story addition, totaling 8,000SF of living space. The project includes nine private suites as well as community spaces, such as a chapel and courtyard. Many sustainable principles were incorporated into the design, including surface water management, indoor water efficiency, optimizing energy performance, and using environmentally preferable products. The project is currently pending Silver Certification for LEED for Homes.
