  • Bachelor of Architecture, Syracuse University, 1992

  • Registered Architect: Alabama

  • Certified, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB)

Kyle joined Poole & Company Architects in 2017 and became a partner in 2018. His architecture career started in Birmingham immediately after graduation in 1992. Kyle's design passion is for adaptive reuse where the value of existing buildings and community assets can be leveraged to client and municipal advantage. During his twenty-nine year career, he has been privileged to play a role designing important urban development projects including Regions Baseball Park (partnered with HKS), Railroad Reservation Park (partnered with Tom Leader), Pizitz Food Hall, and as Project Architect for the 720,000sf Benjamin Russel Hospital for Children (partnered with HKS). Kyle oversees all aspects of design and construction with an emphasis on developing a clear problem statement. Once he knows the actual problem to solve for his client, he will aggregate and leverage all design tools to holistically solve the problem.

"I have been practicing architecture in the Magic City for 28 years. I continue to take great pleasure in listening to and working with our clients to solve their built and unbuilt needs. The work never gets old. I continue to be mesmerized and impressed by the evolving development ideas, design, and construction practices being deployed here. Birmingham is a vibrant city on the rise."
