The University of Alabama Gorgas Library renovation included improvements on the first floor to create a more inviting area for students to study and to have better access to computer technology. Third-floor improvements included a reorganization of stacks and reading rooms to house a special collection. The project included updating finishes, extending electrical power and data systems for computer connectivity, and restoration of historical elements.
