Senior Project Designer

Job Description:

Ten or more years’ experience, licensure preferred but not required, with a professional degree in architecture from an accredited program. An ideal applicant designs and plans for all phases of projects and coordinates building design consultants while monitoring drawings. Can develop solutions, create project designs and plans, and initiate and create project designs and plans for one or more projects throughout all phases. Must be responsible for preparing presentation and design drawings. Can coordinate all trades and agencies related to building design while monitoring drawing production. Exhibits 10 or more years of experience in all phases of architecture and engineering, including substantial and varied experience in project planning. Responsible for creating conceptual and schematic designs for multiple ongoing projects of varied size and providing design guidance to multiple design team members. Responsible for meeting and managing deadlines.

Job Description:

Five to 10 years’ experience, licensure preferred but not required, with a professional degree in architecture from an accredited program. Must coordinate project design, create imaginative design concepts for projects, and prepare presentation and design drawings. An ideal candidate can work independently on architectural design projects and coordinate project design efforts. Must develop planning for projects and must possess 5-10 years of experience developing planning, schematic, and design development phases of the work. A desire to promote creative ideas amongst fellow designers, while collaborating on multiple design projects, is preferred.

This position is focused on collaborating with others, building and maintaining relationships, and developing unique solutions within an established design process. There is a need for effective verbal and graphic communication; an ideal candidate will have the ability to stimulate and motivate others while maintaining awareness and responsiveness to clients’ needs and concerns. This position will require a friendly demeanor; there will be many different people with which to collaborate and meet. The position requires a fast pace.

  • Following a systematic internal design process to ensure proper execution of the project. The process brings structure to your creativity and individual ideas

  • Supporting client’s overall goals and managing project workflow while offering creative design options to capture the spirit of the project
