After a tornado devastated the existing Chalkville Girls Campus in 2012, Poole & Company worked closely with the Alabama Department of Youth Services (ADYS) to assess and evaluate options for rebuilding their campus. The new facility will function as a detention and rehabilitation center for troubled juvenile girls. Nestled within an old pecan grove, the campus is surrounded by nature. The abundance of natural light and connections to exterior landscape give the facility a very open, airy feeling, which will help elevate the moods of the guests and will allow them to have the rehabilitation they need and deserve.
